Sworn In

Sworn In

Sworn In, from Lake County, IL, describes their selves as metal/hardcore/groove and they are nothing short of that. They are influenced most by bands like The Acacia Strain, Stray From The Path, and Misery Signals. I first heard one of their new singles “End” and was immediately into them. The song opens with an up-beat bouncy groove, and then the song continues to keep that same energy throughout the whole song. Sworn In has a heavy hardcore influence, that’s represented in their fast tempo, beat-down drums and pissed off, harsh yells and gutturals. Their guitar is angry sounding and they incorporate a lot of bendy riffs, making for some awesome grooves. Their song “No Salvation” has one of the hardest hitting breakdowns I’ve ever heard. They are releasing their new EP “Start/End” late this October. Definitely keep an eye out for that! You’d also be surprised that most of the members are still in high school! If you’re into bands like Rooks and Kingmaker you definitely need to check these guys out!
